Volunteers Make the Difference

Seed the Vote works to build the number and power of progressive elected officials, while also blocking the far right from taking power in federal elections. We do this by sending volunteers to “battleground” states to doorknock and phonebank in primaries and the general election.

Join us by April 1st to win the Wisconsin Supreme Court!

At a time when the headlines feel overwhelming, it’s more important than ever to focus on the places where we can make a difference. Wisconsin is one of those places. On April 1, there is a critical Supreme Court election, where liberal Susan Crawford is running against a MAGA candidate. Republicans like Elon Musk are dumping over $5M into the race in an attempt to retake control ahead of the midterms.

With its hard-won 4-3 liberal majority, Wisconsin’s Supreme Court has already made important decisions that reversed state-level gerrymanding and preserved voting rights. In the coming years, the Court will be making decisions that could impact the outcomes of the next federal elections, as well as reproductive freedom and workers’ rights. We must win these cases, but we are at huge risk of losing our liberal majority in this upcoming election. We must make sure that on April 1, liberal judge Susan Crawford wins against MAGA candidate Brad Schimel. 

We need to have real conversations with people in Wisconsin, to explain why this election is so important. Seed the Vote is sending volunteers to do just that.

Seed the Vote is excited to be partnering with the Working Families Party Wisconsin and Citizen Action Wisconsin to organize volunteers for this important race on April 1st. 

 

Can you join in? Here’s how:

    • Doorknock: Seed the Vote will be doorknocking in Milwaukee, WI from March 22-April 1. If you go for at least 2 full days of doornocking (7-8 hours), we can help cover costs of hotels & rental cars, and up to $100 in travel to/from Milwaukee (trains, flights, buses, or mileage).     • Phonebank: Call voters in Wisconsin to talk to them about this election with our local partners. Training will be provided at the start of each session. 
  • Help recruit volunteers: Use our Volunteer Recruitment Toolkit to recruit people! For canvassing, we especially need people to reach out to anyone you know in Wisconsin or in Chicago (only 1.5 hours from Milwaukee), to ask them to doorknock.

Be part of the 2026 Team

Defeating MAGA will be our core work for the next four years. In 2025 we will build up volunteers and infrastructure for an even bigger door knocking and phone banking programs for the midterms. In 2026 we will focus on the most strategic house and Senate races to defeat MAGA control of the Federal level.
