- Information That Is Gathered From Visitors
In the 12 months prior to the “last updated” date of this notice, we have collected the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers such as a real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, email address, or other similar identifiers.
- Personal information* as defined in California Customer Records law such as name, signature, address, telephone number. Internet or other electronic network activity information such as browsing history, search history, and information regarding a consumer’s interaction with an internet website application or advertisement.

- How your Information is Collected
We collect your information from:
- You – in person, by telephone, text or email, and/or through our website and mobile apps during transactions, and account creation.
- Third parties such as affiliates and business partners, including donation platforms such as ActBlue, AirTable, ActionNetwork, Solidarity Tech, and Google Forms
In common with other websites, log files are stored on the web server saving details such as the visitor's IP address, browser type, referring page, and time of visit.
Cookies may be used to remember visitor preferences when interacting with the website.
Where registration is required, the visitor's email and a username will be stored on the server.
When you submit a webform on this website — including volunteer sign-ups or contact forms — we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, and zip code.
When you make a donation through ActBlue, ActBlue collects and processes your payment and personal information in accordance with their own privacy policy. We receive donor information from ActBlue to fulfill our recordkeeping obligations as a PAC.
When you sign up through Solidarity Tech forms embedded on this website, Solidarity Tech collects your information on our behalf. We use this information to coordinate volunteer activity and manage our organizing program.
- How We Use Your Information
We collect and use your consumer personal information to further our core purpose of expanding democratic participation and electing working-class champions. This includes and is limited to the following:
- Organizing and Advocacy: When you provide information through our volunteer forms, surveys, or other sign-up pages, we use it to mobilize volunteers, coordinate canvassing and phone banking, and advance our electoral mission in target districts.
- Communications and Operations: We may use your information to keep you informed about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and our work in the field. We may also use it for data analysis and to improve the effectiveness of our programs.
- Fundraising: Seed the Vote relies on grassroots donor support to fund our work. We use your information to process and solicit donations through ActBlue.
- Outreach: We may share information about issues relevant to our mission and target races through various channels, including email, SMS, and targeted advertising, based on your interaction history with us.
- When Required by Law: As a project of a federal political action committee, we are required to submit donor information to the FEC and other governmental entities where required by law. We may also disclose your information to comply with legal process or to protect our operations and the rights of our organization.
- Categories of Information Sold to or Shared with Third Parties.
We have not, in the last 12 months, sold or shared consumers' personal information for purposes of joint marketing activities and targeted advertising.
- Categories of Information Disclosed for a Business Purpose.
In the preceding 12 months, we have not disclosed consumer personal information for a business purpose.
- Use or Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information. We do not use or disclose your sensitive personal information for purposes other than those listed below:
- The use that is necessary to perform the services or provide the goods reasonably expected by an average consumer who requests those goods or services
- To prevent, detect, and investigate security incidents that compromise the availability, authenticity, integrity, or confidentiality of stored or transmitted personal information
- To resist malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal actions directed at the business and to prosecute those responsible for those actions
- To ensure the physical safety of natural persons
- For short-term, transient use, including, but not limited to, non-personalized advertising shown as part of a consumer's current interaction with the business, provided that the personal information is not disclosed to another third party and is not used to build a profile about the consumer or otherwise alter the consumer's experience outside the current interaction with the business
- To perform services on behalf of the business
- To verify or maintain the quality or safety of a product, service, or device that is owned, manufactured, manufactured for, or controlled by the business, and to improve, upgrade, or enhance the service or device that is owned, manufactured by, manufactured for, or controlled by the business
- To collect or process sensitive personal information where the collection or processing is not for the purpose of inferring characteristics about a consumer
You have the right to limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information. If you exercise your right to limit the use of your sensitive personal information, we will limit our use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information for the purposes listed above.
- Your Rights
You have the following rights as a California consumer:
- Right to know what personal information the business has collected about you, including:
- The categories of personal information we have collected
- The categories of sources from which the personal information is collected
- The business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing personal information
- The categories of third parties to whom we disclose personal information –and–
- The specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete personal information that we have collected from you with certain exceptions, including where the information is necessary to complete our transaction with you. Subject to the exceptions set out below, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

- Direct any service providers or contractors to delete your personal information from their records;
- Direct third parties to whom the business has sold or shared your personal information to delete your personal information unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort.

- Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise their right of free speech, or exercise another right provided for by law;
- Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act;
- Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when our deletion of the information is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of such research, provided we have obtained your informed consent;
- Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us;
- Comply with an existing legal obligation; or
- Otherwise use your personal information, internally, in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which you provided the information.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you. Upon receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct the inaccurate personal information.

- How to Exercise Your Rights.

Verification of Your Identify
We will need your contact information, including your name, address, phone number, and email, to verify your identity for access, correction, or deletion requests. Our verification process may also include [asking you asking you to answer a few questions about yourself to help us verify your identity. We are not obligated to make a data access or data portability disclosure if we cannot verify that the person making the request is the person about whom we collected information or is someone authorized to act on such person's behalf. Google Ads
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to visitors based on their visits to sites across the internet. Website visitors may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy at adssettings.google.com.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Ads
We use the Meta Pixel to measure the performance of our Facebook and Instagram ads, build custom audiences, and run retargeting campaigns. Meta may use this data in accordance with their Data Policy. Website visitors may opt out of Meta ad tracking at facebook.com/adpreferences.
Text Messaging
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third party, except: (1) with vendors, consultants, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf (and who will not use such information for their own purposes); or (2) if we believe disclosure is required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation or to comply with law enforcement or legal process.
